For rapid weight loss, a fasting diet is a good option. These methods switch your body’s metabolism away from sugar to burn fat instead. Unlike diets that restrict calorie intake, the fasting period is long enough to get a lot of results. The only problem is that the results are temporary. You will probably have to repeat it many times to keep up with your fasting regimen.

This diet is known as the 5:2 diet. You should eat the same amount of healthful food for five days. On two days, you must limit your calorie intake. Men need to limit their calorie intake to 600 calories, while women should restrict their calories to 500 calories. The 5:2 diet has the same benefits as the Every Other Day Diet, but you will need to do it more often.

This diet requires only a 24 hour fast. If you are unable to stick to this for the entire day, you can shorten the period to a few hours. You can also add a day of fasting if you feel more comfortable. This diet requires less planning and more discipline. However, it’s best used for a short time, usually only a couple of weeks. It is not for the faint of heart.
