While it’s not a quick fix for weight loss, alternate day fasting can lead to dramatic results. In fact, a recent study found that people who regularly practice alternate day fasting lost nine percent of their body weight and maintained that same weight over the course of six months. While this may seem like a lofty goal, it’s actually very feasible and much easier to follow than counting calories or keeping a food diary for months on end.
A clean fast is important to lose weight. This means that you shouldn’t include any added sugar, artificial sweeteners, or anything that contains calories. During a fast, your body is deprive of insulin and turns to its fat stores for fuel. As a result, you’ll lose weight. In addition to a clean fast, many health experts recommend eating healthy food while you’re fasting.
Intermittent fasting is a great way to lose weight. It’s easy to do and can even be done on a regular basis. While it’s not a long-term solution, intermittent fasting may be an effective alternative to dieting. If you can stick to it, you’ll see the results sooner rather than later. So, what’s the difference? In short, intermittent fasting is not that different from “clean eating” except for the fact that you’re not completely cutting out food.
